New This Year: In celebration of the 15th anniversary of this beloved event, we will have dog and human contests, K-9 agility demonstrations, police K-9 demonstrations, and vendors offering dog-related products and free samples.
How Do I Participate? It’s simple! Just create your own fundraising page here: https://www.crowdrise.com/15th-annual-walk-for-animals/fundraiser/walkforanimals2017
Once you have created your page, you can post it on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter and email the link to your friends!
If you don’t wish to fund-raise online, use this download: Walk Pledge Form 2017.
Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome at the Walk (no flexi-leads please). It’s also fine to leave Fido at home if this is not his idea of fun – but the more humans we have walking and showing that they care about animals, the better! All walkers who raise $50 or more will get an awesome Walk for Animals t-shirt, and top fundraisers will win prizes from local businesses.
This event is not just a whole lot of fun, it is an essential fundraiser for your local humane society. Thanks to community support, WCHS is doing great things for animals and the people that love them. In fact, we are helping more animals than ever, thanks to you! So grab your friends, two and four-legged, and make plans to join us on September 23rd!
Special thanks to our generous Presenting Sponsor, One Stop Country Pet Supply!
Huge thanks to our official event photographer, Liz LaVorgna, for her donation of time and talent. You can view Liz’s portfolio at http://www.lizlavorgna.com/
