Lilly
Adopted- December 2011
"We are so happy that Lilly became a member of our family this year. She is such a happy and good natured dog. She likes to sit and watch the birds out the front window and the chipmunks and red squirrel play in the back field. She knows where the rabbit and the chipmunks live and she loves to chase the squirrels. She is such a cuddlebug. Lilly thinks every day should start and end with a belly rub...and we agree! We can't say enough about how wonderful the Windham County Humane Society was. Lilly had a medical issue when she arrived at the shelter, and had to have a painful bladder stone removed. WCHS took care of Lilly, providing her with the surgery she needed. We are so thankful that they were able to take care of her so well. Lilly is on a special diet now to help prevent future bladder stones but she doesn't mind. She is so lovable and loving, we are truly blessed to have her as part of our family."
Abby

Adopted- December 2011
"I was drawn to Abby the first time I saw her hiding in her little vodka box. She had beautiful coloring and a sweet kitten-ish face, though she was over 8 years old. She didn't come out to talk to volunteers and visitors, but when I took her out of her cage, she purred and sat contentedly on my lap. She's a bit timid, but very affectionate. Now that she's been home with me for about a month, she's settled into a very predicatble routine; sleeping on the back cushion of my reading chair all day. I love her quiet presence in the house, and she loves being brushed every evening. We're well suited to each other!"
Shima & Nekko

Adopted-December 2011
"Our new kitties are just wonderful! They race around the house and find new places to explore every day. They just have so much fun together and are winning the heart of our older kitty--he is tolerating them and is actually mildly amused by them, which is great! Thanks so much, and Merry Christmas to you all.
Take care, Mark and Bonnie Kimball"
Oscar & Scarlet

Adopted- October 2011
"We are very happy with Arron now known as O. Cat, Oscar, Wild Oscar (as opposed to Oscar Wilde) the parkour kitty. He is incredibly agile, can run up walls and leap great distances. He will climb into the fridge, the sink and the trash if you let him. He is a totally cool cat. He still loves the outside as you can see but is happy coming home to us. He also takes walks with us and Scarlet. Scarlet (Previously Velvet) also goes by Scarlatti, Scarlet O'Hairy, Girlie Girl, and Stubby .(You may not have noticed since she was at the shelter for so short a time that her legs are really, really short. They are about as long as Oscar's so they are quite a pair when we walk together. She's a bit of a couch potato especially in the AM. When I take her out before school she dawdles at times but in the afternoon in the fields she loves to run and snuff in the grass and snow. The two get along well; the picture of them sharing the roasting pan after Thanksgiving didn't really come out. As you can see they both match our floor ..... Happy New year from us all.......
Jango
