Rabies is a serious disease that can be fatal to people and pets. Here in Vermont, it is usually spread through contact with wild animals, including foxes, skunks, raccoons, coyotes and bats. If your pet spends time outdoors, make sure you have him or her vaccinated to protect everyone in your family as well as your pet.
