Host Your Own Fundraiser

From lemonade stands and car washes to golf tournaments and birthdays, people support causes they're passionate about through their own fundraisers or events.

At WCHS, we're grateful for these creative spirits and their generosity!

Steps to Hosting Your Own Fundraiser

  1. Determine the kind of fundraiser you want to have and then plan it. Popular ideas include a car wash, concert, yard sale, selling crafts, hosting a Paint and Sip class, a change drive, doing a bowling or other sports tournament, etc.

  2. Plan to promote your event. One of the easiest ways to market your event is to create a Facebook fundraiser. To start, visit the WCHS Facebook page and click “Raise Money” under the “Fundraisers” tab. Ask friends to share your event, post it on Front Porch Forum and other online bulletin boards, and place paper flyers up on community boards.

Guidelines for Events Hosted on Our Behalf

  • Tell us about your event

  • We cannot sell tickets or products at the shelter or on our website

  • Posting your event on Facebook is determined on a case-by-case basis

  • Events can not present an ethical or legal issue for the organization (selling animals, etc.)

  • Unfortunately, we cannot bring shelter animals to your offsite event

Spotlight on a WCHS Friend!

Hats, coats, and leashes go off to Phinney's Phriends for raising $3,000 for Windham County Humane Society. They nearly sold out of their assortment of handmade pet gifts and their famous Dogs of Grafton calendar at this past Christmas in Grafton.

Over the past two years, Phinney’s Phriends have raised over $5,000 for WCHS with handmade pet gifts!

Thank you Denise Martin and friends!
